Welcome to the BRFC under 9's age group for the 2008-2009 season. 

General stuff

We have 53 players registered for our first year of contact rugby. Our coaching team is made up of Richie Revill, Nigel Naylor-Smith, Roy Drage, Jeremy Beard, Alan Duncan, Charlie Dunster and Graeme Whyte with numerous other parent helpers.

Mel Jones melaniejones62@yahoo.co.uk, and  Jim O'Toole otoolehome@btinternet.com are Age Group Managers.

We issue a weekly newsletter by e mail , usually on Thursdays and news will also appear on the home page on the database.. 

We have home training every Sunday  from 10 to 12 , pitches and equipment set up is from 9:30 with warm up from 9:45.

In terms of safety, gum shields are compulsory this year and all screw in studs must be rugby studs not football, available from Sportscene and other sport shops at around a fiver a set.  Please, no bladed football boots.

The number of teams we enter at various festivals varies and team selection is based on ability and attendance unless it is a development event where participation is open to all.  Teams/squads will be posted 10-14 days before a festival, squads will be 12 kids, with 9 on the pitch at any time.
